Our Yellow advice of the month is: do not ignore how you feel! Do not transform fears into excuses! Do not let fear make you stay in a job you hate, pursue a relationship that is toxic for you or follow a misguided direction. This will only lead you to a situation that you’ll desperately want to change. It doesn’t matter what stage you are in your life right now, at any point in time you can decide to change your life. Anything that stops us from moving forward and taking brave, proactive measures to at least explore and try something, to go towards new directions, is an excuse.
What about if instead of focusing on all those big overwhelming plans, we would focus on the micro-steps tha we can accomplish every day!
You need to move frome excuses to empowered actions. Gain confidence in yourself and change your mindset. Fear only lets ourselves off the hook from taking brave actions. Positive thoughts attract success and inspecting the worst, you should train your mind to expect the best.
“You know sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage. Just literally 20 seconds of just embarrasing bravery. And I promised you, something great will come of it” (Benjamin Mee).
Take back control and conquer the fear! Don’t be content! Face your fears!
C.S. Lewis said that you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. You definitely deserve to be happy. Is it a risk? Perhaps. Everybody is afraid of failing, human beings hate to face rejection, negative outcomes are not easy or fun, but we will be abel to move beyond it.
How? Follow this simple recipe:
50 gr of accepting your fears are real
30 gr of getting comfortable with fears
80 gr of shifting from” I can’t handle it” to “I will get through it”
Remain focused and accomplish your goals. Being afraid can actually motivate you. It keeps you from quitting when things get tough.
